Master's Table Community Outreach

The Master's Table provides a complete Thanksgiving meal for families in the Northport / Tuscaloosa, AL area who are in need.

Volunteers from all over the area come together to prepare Thanksgiving meal boxes to feed a family.

The program began in 2001 in close cooperation with the West Alabama Food Bank. That first year, 65 families were feed. Since then the program has grown.

The program relies heavily on donations from local individuals, business, and foundations and the volunteer efforts of individuals, congregations and service organizations.

Donations are being accepted and checks can be made out to New Dimensions Ministries, a 501(c)3 foundation with the corresponding tax status. Please mail checks to 2200 Main Ave. Northport, AL 35476. Alternatively, you can click here to donate online.

What is Food Insecurity?

According to the USDA, food insecurity occurs when people lack access to sufficient, safe, nutritious food due to a lack of money or other resources. Consequences of food insecurity, which may be referred to as “hunger or at-risk of hunger,” can include chronic illnesses, poorer educational outcomes, and decreased economic productivity. Although it affects children uniquely, food insecurity is a household problem.
